A native of Franklin Tennessee, near Nashville, Vickie Vance has been choreographing and teaching dance for more than 25 years. She was the principal owner/operator of Headquarters Dance Studio in Franklin, TN until 2005. She developed, owned and operated the UCWDC's, (United Country Western Dance Council's) largest dance event, "The Music City Challenge" in Nashville, TN. Vickie is a seven time UCWDC National Champion, the 2005 UCWDC World Champion in the Pro-Pro division and she has been the recipient of numerous Top Teacher Awards in both national and world events.
Vickie is a UCWDC Master Level Competitor, certified UCWDC International Judge and served on their judge's council. She was the very first dance instructor hired at the world famous Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville and was featured on the TV shows "The Wild Horse Saloon Show", "Club Dance" and "Dancing USA" which was filmed from the Grand Ole Opry stage. She was a featured guest on "Good Morning America"with Joan Lundon and Charlie Gibson, and gave them a lesson on the show.
Vickie Vance's choreography has been featured in numerous music videos and was commissioned by the Elvis Presley Estate to create the"ELVIS ROCK" dance for the 10 year commemorative celebration in 1987. She is also the creator of the
"FUNKY COWBOY" and "COWBOY HIP HOP" line dances which have been performed all over the world
Vickie heads up the STARR DANCERS competition dance team.

Champion Ballroom in Franklin Tennessee,
Champion Ballroom in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Asheville Ballroom in Asheville, North Carolina.
She offers professional services in classes/workshops, private lessons, group lessons, judging,
choreography, event directing and organizing, pro performances and Pro-Am competitions.
In the early 90's, Nashville songwriters Bill Kenner and Mark Wright
collaborated on a song about Vickie Vance that would be titled,
"Vickie Vance Gotta Dance"
It was later recorded by Country Music star Mark Chestnutt
and was included on the 1993 platinum album "Almost Goodbye."
